The Challenge
One of North America’s top resort destinations took the COVID downturn as an opportunity to rejuvenate and reinvent its entire resort product and experience position. Travel Local won the bid to complete five projects that required intense local engagement, new research methods and expert analysis. Resort-wide projects including a product analysis, mountain bike strategy, booking analysis, event strategy and a business meetings and conferences plan.
Our Answer
Travel Local standardized a research and stakeholder engagement approach that collected data and transferred learnings across multiple project teams. Community workshops, sector focus groups, and interviews drew insights from nearly 100 stakeholders including resort operations, on/off-mountain experiences, commercial recreation, accommodations, food and beverage, event producers, meeting planners, and recreation clubs. Fresh insights paved the way for targeted product, service, and experience improvements that will increase guest satisfaction, profitability and competitiveness.
