The Challenge
One of North America’s top resort destinations took the COVID downturn as an opportunity to rejuvenate and reinvent its entire product position. With so many accommodations and tours under different ownership categories, the customer journey was fractured and sales conversions too low. Tourism Sun Peaks needed a report that laid out the challenges in a way that members could understand with a solution that was solid-state, easy to implement, and could provide the booking data to make better decisions.
Our Answer
A needs analysis was conducted through thorough stakeholder outreach including one-on-one interviews, surveys, and guest feedback. Recommendations were then offered based on resort / destination booking engines that positioned all accommodation types as a collective and provided travellers with a seamless booking experience. In addition to a positive visitor experience, these booking options allowed for maximum room night revenues for owners and shareable analytics for the mountain.
